SUMMARY:Dusk with the Dead
DESCRIPTION:The City of Sierra Vista, working closely with the Arts & Humanities and Cultural Diversity Commissions, will be hosting an evening cemetery tour with a twist this fall. Between 6-9 pm at the Fry Pioneer Cemetery, participants will walk amongst the graves on a guided tour to learn about and interact with Sierra Vista’s historical figures buried in the cemetery. Actors will be in period costume, enthralling those who attend with their diverse stories—which include those of frontier life, Fort Huachuca icons, and Yaqui descendants from nearby Mexico. Docents will be on hand to guide visitors to the next grave story, and apple cider will be served outside the gates for those needing a warming up, sponsored by the two commissions. This is a free event that lasts approximately 20-30 minutes to complete the full circuit. Last guided tour will take place at 8:30 p.m.\n
