Child Identification Program
This is a free event offering parents a child identification kit for use if the child ever goes missing. There are four pieces of information to this process; DNA swab, color photo, fingerprints, and a recorded interview. All this information is printed out and downloaded onto a flash drive that is Amber Alert ready and given to the parent or guardian. The software is designed so none of the child’s information is saved on the computer or retained by any volunteer.
Sponsored by The Sierra Vista Police Department in conjunction with the Citizens’ Police Academy Associates, Inc., The Legacy Foundation, and the Jim and Shirley Elliston “CHIP” program of Cochise County.
