Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease is affecting rabbits, both captive and wild in Cochise County. RHD is deadly to rabbits, but is not known to transfer to other animals or humans, and the Sheriff says to call their non emergency number if you find dead rabbits on your property. If you have pet rabbits, you can try to keep them safe by keeping them indoors and by cleaning your shoes and other pets feet when returning from the outdoors.
