The #sanrafaiefire that quickly grew to almost 12,000 acres last week is now listed as being 100% contained. Last week’s high winds finally broke, giving crews the advantage they needed to get the fire under control quickly.
From the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management:
“The Arizona Trail at Parker Lake to Harshaw Road remains closed until Monday afternoon for additional repair and rehabilitation work, per the The Forest Service – Coronado National Forest. The fire started last Saturday, May 7, within the San Rafael State Natural Area, approximately 22 miles southeast of Patagonia.”
